Postoperative care for Beard Transplantation

1. Very next day cleansing must be done under doctor supervision.
2. Simple antibiotic ointment is to be applied over the grafted area and extracted donor area daily for 7-10 days.
3. Routine simple antibiotic and analgesics to be taken for 5-7 days.
4. Can do routine regular work. No hospital admission or bed rest required.
5. Initial 2-3 days mild redness with swelling may be seen depending on the color of the skin and area of transplant. This automatically subsides and looks natural with in few days. Temporary fall of grafted hair will be seen for 4-8 wks which will regrow.
6. A routine basic care needed for 3-4 weeks.
7. Regular cleaning done with mild soap and gentle tapping.
8. Water must be sterile.
9. Avoiding exposure to dust, rainwater and sunlight for 1 month.
